Katarzyna (Kasia) Mol-Wolf – Managing director and publisher of the magazine EMOTION, and author

During her law degree, which she completed with a doctorate, (Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Christian Albrecht University in Kiel), Kasia realised that she would one day like to work in a publishing house. So after university, she began her publishing career with the publishers Gruner+Jahr. Katarzyna initially held a number of positions on the commercial side (culminating in head of publishing and sales), before going to work for herself on the magazine EMOTION in November 2009. She founded the media house INSPIRING NETWORK and through that bought EMOTION from Gruner+Jahr.

With EMOTION magazine, she made an important contribution towards advancing equal rights for women in Germany. Each year, the presentation of the EMOTION.awards shines the spotlight on successful women in a number of categories to encourage other women to go their own way with confidence.

Katarzyna herself was crowned “Media Woman of the Year 2018” in the Horizont Awards.

Her mother was and is a great role model for her in her life. She believes that everything in life is possible if, instead of seeing yourself as a victim, you understand that your life is in your own hands and you decide whether you get up again after a defeat or whether you stay down.

She gets her power from her family and from doing exactly what she wants to. She lives out her strengths and also tries to contribute to society with her brands. And she wants to give young women – particularly those from a migrant background – the courage to live out their dreams with confidence. This is because Katarzyna Mol-Wolf believes that her heritage and her refugee story are always a source of strength, which also take away her fear and have taught her that the key to handling a crisis is to always find the solution quickly. Provided that you have faith in yourself and know where you want to go.

On 21 June 2021, Katarzyna Mol-Wolf and her mother celebrate their fortieth year in Germany.
