Rzepnikowski, Teofil (Theophil Rzepnikowski), 1890-98 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire, 1894-98 member of the 2nd Chamber of the Prussian Landtag. *5.2.1843 in Klein Radowisk/Małe Radowiska near Briesen/Wąbrzeźno, †8.2.1922 Löbau/Lubawa: a physician, director of a cooperative, local authority officer and publicist. After attending grammar schools in Culm/Chełmno he studied medicine at the universities of Breslau, Königsberg and Berlin. He was made a Doctor of Medicine in Berlin in 1867. He founded several societies and co-operatives. From 1889 onwards he was the director of the Polish Business and Co-operative Acquisition Societies in Western Prussia, served on their board in the province of Poznan, and was the head of an advance payment association in Löbau. He wrote a huge number of essays on economic themes, and was active in district, town and church administrations. In February 1890 and in June 1893 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Rosenberg-Löbau/Susz-Lubawa with majorities of 50.76% and 52.32% respectively, each in the second ballot. He served on the special committees on hire purchase agreements, sickness prevention, bankruptcy regulations, sickness insurance, the committee of accounts, Reich stamp duties, tobacco tax and customs union contracts.
