Turno, Hipolit (Hippolyt von Turno, Hippolit von Turno), 1871-81 member of the Poznan Provincial Landtag, 1871-74, 1877-84 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire, 1879-82 member of the 2nd Chamber of the Prussian Landtag. *30.11.1828 Objezierze/Objezierze (województwo wielkopolskie), in the district of Obornik/Oborniki, †13.3. (5.?) 1897 ibid., lord of the manor. He was the owner of the Objezierze dominion with the Objezierze estate, and additional courtyards at Kowalewko/Kowalewko (powiat obornicki) and Wygoda, as well as the estates at Nieczajna, Zulin/Żulin and Pacholewo. After attending the Köllnische grammar school in Berlin he studied at the Mining Academy in Freiberg in Sasony. He had lengthy stays in Paris. Subsequently he administrated his estates. In 1863 the Berliner Supreme Court designated him as a suspect in the 1863 Polish January Uprising. In March 1871 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Inowrazlaw-Mogilno/Inowrocław-Mogilno with a majority of 73.95%; in January 1877, in July 1878 and in October 1881 for the constituency of Poznan City with majorities of 60.06%, 59.29% and 60.03% respectively. At Objezierze Manor he continued the collections of art and handwritten scripts begun by his father, Wincenty Turno (1803-1867), as well as the comprehensive collection of books in the library.
