Kurnatowski, Stanisław (Stanisław Łodzia-Kurnatowski, Stanislaus von Kurnatowski), 1852-84 member of the Poznan Provincial Landtag, 1878-84 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire. *16.6.1823 Warsaw?, †22.7.1912 Pozarowo/Pożarowo near Wronke/Wronki, lord of the manor. After passing his A-levels he studied at the Farming School in Hohenheim near Stuttgart (Diploma). He gained some practical experience of farming in France and England. In 1848 he settled on his estate at Pozarowo. In the Poznan Provincial Parliament he was the deputy President. He resigned his seat after several disputes with the German nationalist Marshal of Parliament, Hans Wilhelm von Unruhe-Bomst (1825-94). In 1863 he participated in the Polish January Uprising, was arrested and sent to prison in Fort Winiary, in the fortress of Poznan and in the prison of the Berlin Supreme Court in Moabit. In March 1878, in July 1878 and in October 1881 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Inowrazlaw-Mogilno/Inowrocław-Mogilno with majorities of 75.98%, 77.72% and 76.73% respectively. picture: Internetowy Polski Słownik Biograficzny.
