Wolszlegier, Władysław (Wladislaus von Wolszlegier), 1882-85 member of the 2nd Chamber of the Prussian Landtag, 1884-87, 1890-1907 member of the Reichstag of the German Empire. *7.4. He was the brother of the member of the Reichstag, Antoni Wolszlegier (Anton Johannes Nepomucenus von Wolszlegier, 1843-1922), and an estate owner at Schönfeld. Between 1858 and 1867 he attended grammar school in Conitz. After passing his A-levels he was an autodidact and dedicated his energies to running his parents estate. In the 1870s, in Thorn he joined the Towarzystwo ku Wspieraniu Moralnych Interesów Ludności Polskiej pod Panowaniem Pruskim/ Society for the Support of the Moral Interests of the Polish Population under Prussian Rule, which distributed Polish books, and organised reading rooms and libraries. From 1886 until the end of his life he was a member of the Towarzystwo Naukowe w Toruniu/Scientific Society in Thorn, set up in 1875 by Zygmunt Działowski (Sigismund von Dzialowski, 1843-1878). The society promoted Polish science and culture and research into the Polish history of Thorn and erected a Museum for Polish Regional History in Thorn in 1881/82. In October 1884, in February 1890, in June 1893 and in June 1898 he was elected as a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the German Reichstag for the constituency of Tuchel-Conitz/Tuchola-Chojnice with majorities between 64.13% and 73.13%; in June 1903 for the constituency of Berent-Preußisch Stargard-Dirschau/Kościerzyna-Starogard Gdański-Tczew with a majority of 62.19%. He served on the special committees on the military pensions law, the postal system, and the accounts committee. In 1912 he was a co-founder and shareholder in the Gazeta Chojnicka/Conitzer Zeitung. In 1918 he became a member of the Polski Sejm Dzielnicowy/Polish Provincial Parliament in Poznan.
