MAKOWSKI IWAN

† 19.10.1917 Gronau

prisoner of war No 53376 from the period of World War I, recorded as a Russian, although he was probably a Pole from the Russian partition who was called up to the Tsarist army

On the right-hand side of the Polish plot V, there is a Russian plot with 15 individual graves, where mainly prisoners of war are buried. At the Evangelical cemetery in Gronau, on the other hand, there is a plot of concentration camp prisoners murdered in an evacuation march. It is the place of eternal rest of two unknown Poles. Only the numbers of those prisoners were recorded: Erk. No. 3 d B and Erk. No. 120644.
