In 1996, a group of former soldiers of the division funded and placed a tombstone on the grave of a sapper known as "Karaban". On the black granite slab with the emblem of the 1st Polish Armoured Division there are inscriptions informing about the military rank, nickname, surname, first name, date of birth and death and affiliation with the 11th Company of Sappers. This is the only stone with such an emblem on the graves of fallen or deceased members of the tactical union in Germany.
